Hi Everyone,
April is full of activity at Descanso Town Hall, and we’re excited to share a quick snapshot of what’s ahead!
Join us on April 18 for our Hoedown—an evening of live music, dancing, food, and community fun. We’re also looking ahead to Descanso Day (June 6), and we’d love your help! We’re currently seeking volunteers for:
Face painting
Singing the national anthem
Running the horseshoe tournament
Please reach out if you can help with any of these tasks.
We’re also beginning to think about Oktoberfest and are looking for someone to step into a chair role—if you’re interested in helping shape this fun community event, we’d love to hear from you.
A few other highlights:
Weekly line dancing continues every Wednesday• Garden Club meeting and Monthly Pancake Breakfast are coming up
The Luke Barbour Scholarship is now open (deadline April 17—please help spread the word!)
You’ll find more details in the attached newsletter, along with flyers for upcoming events, the parade application form if you or someone you know would like to participate, and the scholarship application.
